In addition, I do not use any information submitted through contact forms for marketing purposes nor do I share any information submitted through contact forms with any third party without the person’s express consent (except that I may share or share access to such information for the purposes of competent technical contractors involved in this website’s development).

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

I use several packages to provide website analytics data. These include Google Analytics, Jetpack and Monster Insights plugins for WordPress. Links to the privacy policies for each plugin are available here:
Google Analytics – https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
Google Analytics operates a data retention policy. Currently, for this website, the user-level and event-level data associated with cookies, user identifiers, or advertising identifiers are retained for 26 months before being deleted on a monthly basis. Other aggregate data (from which it is not possible to personally indentify individual users) is retained indefinitely.

https://www.jetpack.com/support/privacy

These plugins are used for the purpose of analysing website traffic. They collect non-personally-identifying information that is usually made available via web browsers.

I may occasionally publish information about the global traffic on this website in a way that does not identify any individual visitor. This information is gathered for the purposes of monitoring the popularity of the different pages on this website.

Who we share your data with

From time to time, I may require the services of a web developer in order to upgrade or change technical aspects of this website. If so, I may disclose your personal data information only to the chosen contractor/s and affiliated organisations that:

  • need to know that information in order to process it on my behalf or to provide services available at my website, and
  • that have agreed not to disclose it to others.

Some of those contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Enrique Opi’s website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them subject to the requirements of the law and always inside the European Union.

My email list is relatively low volume and I will not be sending you spam or flooding your inbox with irrelevant information.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on this website, I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). As a website administrator, I can also see and edit that information.

Contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for ten years.
